Venue 1: Gdańsk, 29th of April, from 1 P.M. till 9 P.M.
Venue 2: Rome, 6th of May, start at 4 P.M.

Urban Walk – Architecture Talk is a program based on an elective seminar under the same title organized at the Faculty of Architecture of the Gdańsk University of Technology, aiming at getting familiar with the topic of multi-layer and multi-sensory reception of public spaces and the use of public space, as well as the recognition of the needs of its users, and finally the consequences of such perception and the use of space in order to build a more complete architectural design and urban concepts.

The program implemented within the People’s Smart Sculpture project will consist of a series of workshops, meetings, lectures, discussions and study visits implemented by three partner institutions: Gdańsk City Gallery, Gdańsk University of Technology and La Sapienza University in Rome. We will re(discover) and exchange the experiences of two cities – Gdańsk and Rome. This expertise and best practice exchange will serve as a departing point for a much complex discussion about the transformations of the city public space with the active involvement of art and culture. The research period in both cities will be concluded by an event in public space called “Crossing the bridges” welcoming warmly everybody who is willing to participate. The action will be directly linked with the international concept of the Jane’s Walk and will be accompanied by various special events, like urban walk, art installations in public space, cultural picnic, workshops, concerts and more.
