„Grass-mania – The Place Identity” Festival 1 – 31 October 2009 in GdańskTo celebrate the 50th anniversary of publishing Günter Grass's most famous novel “The tin drum” , the 30th anniversary of its Polish translation and to officially open Gdanska Galeria Güntera Grassa (4g, Günter Grass Gallery in Gdańsk) the city of Gdańsk and Gdańska Galeria Miejska ( Gdańsk City Gallery) organise “Grass-mania- Place Identity” Festival.From 1st to 31st October we invite you to artistic events such as exhibitions, concerts, performances, films projections, debates, all connected with Günter Grass's work and the idea of place identity.The admission to the events is free except for “The tin drum” play in Teatr Wybrzeże ( Wybrzeze Theatre), which requires tickets ( to buy in the theatre). Artists: Paweł „Paulus” Mazur, Darek”Brzózka” Brzóskiewicz and Marek Smoliński will read poetry at the railway station. The newspaper boy dressed in 1930's style clothes will give out special newspaper for this occasion.Beginning: 10.30 a.m. From 9th to 14th October the poems will be transmitted at 9-9.30 a.m. and 3.30-4 p.m.
