{"id":16376,"date":"2022-07-15T19:02:20","date_gmt":"2022-07-15T17:02:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ggm.spinacz.com\/?p=16376"},"modified":"2022-07-15T19:11:00","modified_gmt":"2022-07-15T17:11:00","slug":"grassomania-8-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ggm.gda.pl\/en\/16376\/grassomania-8-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Grassomania 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Grassomania is a project dedicated to G&uuml;nter Grass, whose programme is inspired by the work of the Nobel Laureate, interpreted by contemporary artists, to whom it is also a source of inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>The 8th edition of Grassomania will comprise of many actions and events that help to strengthen the memory of G&uuml;nter Grass in many ways and explore his heritage on many levels.<\/p>\n<p>The 8th Grassomania will start with the Morning Shifts project whose title comes from the first of the three books constituting the Dog Years novel. This novel is the last part of the so-called Gda\u0144sk trilogy, in which Gda\u0144sk appears as a borderland city, the little homeland of Germans, Poles and Jews. Six literary authors and six visual artists will travel from Gda\u0144sk to Wroc\u0142aw and from Wroc\u0142aw to Gda\u0144sk to investigate the genius loci of both cities that are so far away from each other, but, at the same time, so close. The literary and visual works created as an effect of the collaboration between the artists will be published in an experimental artistic publication that will sum up the project.<\/p>\n<p>Morning shifts is an enterprise organized in collaboration with Dizajn BWA Wroc\u0142aw Gallery, Tajne Komplety Bookstore and the Timon Karpowicz Foundation, from March to October, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Artits invited to participate in this project: Jakub Babczy\u0144ski,&nbsp; Katarzyna Kmita, Grzegorz Kwiatkowski, Patrycja Orzechowska, Aleksandra M. Perzy\u0144ska, Barbara Pi&oacute;rkowska, Bartosz Sadulski, Maciej Salamon, Kama Sokolnicka, Antek Wajda, Agnieszka Wolny-Hamka\u0142o, Kamil Zaj\u0105c.<\/p>\n<p>Further information: <a href=\"https:\/\/ggm.gda.pl\/en\/\">www.ggm.gda.pl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>On April 13th 2016 &ndash; the first anniversary of the G&uuml;nter Grass&rsquo;s death &ndash; we will open an exhibition in the G&uuml;nter Grass Gallery in Gda\u0144sk titled G&uuml;nter Grass Collection Plus* that will present a part of the 4G collection of the Nobel Laureate&rsquo;s graphics, drawings and sculptures (including new acquisitions that have not been exhibited yet). They will be presented in a dialogue with selected works of Gda\u0144sk artists. The exhibition will last until August 14th 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Artists invited to participate in the exhibition: Alicja Bu\u0142awka-Fankidejska, Magda Hueckel, W\u0142adys\u0142aw Jackiewicz, Katarzyna J&oacute;\u017awiak &ndash;Moskal,&nbsp; Jacek Kornacki, Stanis\u0142aw Nowodworski, Mariusz Otta, Maciej Rauch, Maciek Salamon,&nbsp; Krzysztof Wr&oacute;blewski, Wojciech Zamiara, Marcin Zawicki, Ma\u0142gorzata \u017berwe.<\/p>\n<p>Further information: <a href=\"https:\/\/ggm.gda.pl\/en\/\">www.ggm.gda.pl <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the digitalization process, the impressive collection of 141 works of art created by the Nobel Laureate, gathered in the G&uuml;nter Grass Gallery in Gda\u0144sk, will be published not only in a form of a printed catalogue, but also as a Virtual G&uuml;nter Grass Gallery. This project will undoubtedly open many new perspectives on Grass&rsquo;s heritage to our audience. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It will be a starting point to creating a multilayer, virtual information and education platform directed to various groups of recipients Grass&rsquo;s art. Apart from the reproductions of the works from the G&uuml;nter Grass Gallery in Gda\u0144sk collection, you will also find there some archive materials and interactive projects, like Grass&oacute;wka &ndash; the computer game based on the motives from literary and visual art of Grass or G: RASS &ndash; a new mobile application created by artists and programmers from Gda\u0144sk and D&uuml;sseldorf as a part of an EU project &ldquo;The People&rsquo;s Smart Sculpture&rdquo;. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Further information: <a href=\"https:\/\/ggm.gda.pl\/en\/\">www.ggm.gda.pl <\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &ldquo;The People&rsquo;s Smart Sculpture&rdquo; EU project will give us also an opportunity to introduce artistic performances into public space.
