Gda\u0144sk Biennale of Art\u00a02018<\/strong><\/em> is the fifth edition of the artistic event presenting the work of several dozen of professional artists living and working in the Pomeranian voivodeship, which is a necessary condition for participation. The competition and exhibition are aimed at reviving and integrating the local artistic community, as well as rendering an interesting offer for both the inhabitants and for tourists visiting Gda\u0144sk.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The organizers of the biennial aim to grasp the latest trends and directions in the visual arts represented by the local artists. The event is also a response to the need of the Pomeranian artists for a cyclical and broad display of their most recent works.
The post-competition display will provide an opportunity to present the broad spectrum of techniques employed by different generations of artists.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

3rd of February 2019 during the final day of the display, the artists will be awarded the Grand Prix,\u00a0<\/strong>Rector’s of\u00a0the Academy of\u00a0Fine Arts in\u00a0Gda\u0144sk and the Audience awards.<\/p>



Award for the winner of the 5th Biennale – Grand Prix:
<\/strong>The jury will select the winner from among the finalists of the 5th Biennial. There is a financial award for the winner offered by the organizer of the Biennial \u2013 the Gda\u0144sk City Gallery.<\/p>
